Balkan Watchers 2024

Three women who have all survived from genderbased violence, share their journeys of healing and transformation. The film captures their participation in a creative writing workshop led by an esteemed author and expert in Greek mythology. The workshop invites the women to reclaim and rewrite ancient Greek myths that resonate with their experiences, allowing them to find their lost voices. Throughout the film, we delve into the personal lives of these women. As they reimagine these ancient stories, the women confront their pasts, engage in self-reflection, and ultimately find empowerment. The film follows their daily lives, capturing moments of introspection, struggle, and triumph. By the end of the workshop, new narratives emerge symbolizing hope and resilience. The film is a testament to the healing power of storytelling and the unbreakable bonds formed through shared experiences of survival and empowerment.
