According to official statistics, more than 19,000 Ukrainian children illegally ended up on the territory of Russia during the full-scale war – some were deported with their parents, while orphans were taken to an unknown destination. The International Criminal Court in The Hague has issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin. He is accused of committing a war crime, specifically the illegal deportation of children and the unlawful transfer of children from the occupied territories of Ukraine to Russia.
